overall usability of the site:
the site seems really useable everything is clear, the only thing that is a slight usability concern is that it opens new windows when you click on work.

the degree to which it pushes boundaries /
questions traditional presentation of portfolio work:
I don't know that it really pushes any boundaries. It seems pretty standard. It doesn't present work in a way that is interesting either. It just presents the work. So I would say you could work on that area.

same as above but for overall site navigation:
Again, the navigation is pretty standard so I don't know that any boundaries have been pushed.

if the site utilizes linear / cinematic elements (such as transitions, image sequences, etc) and the success of those linear elements:
the site is pretty linear, and I would say that is successful.

overall organization of the work -- logical? interesting?
the organization is logical, but not really considered, it is just in an order, which is logical, but not in any particular order. I don't know that I would consider it particularly interesting because it's just in a line.

The usability of the site is pretty clear, but like Ian and the rest of the class said today, the new window thing can get pretty annoying. There doesn't seem to be any innovative way of looking at the work. It is pretty simple and static, much like the typical website. In terms of alignments, I would bring down the navigation arrows or move them to the top so that you can align the descriptions with the corresponding image. Also...the link at the bottom, should be separated so that you are not clicking on the name/email/address just to get to an email form. Highlight only the email address for the link. The organization of the work seems arbitrary.
